Motion Number: S5M-03317
Date Lodged: 10th January 2017
Title: Kirkintilloch Seagull Trust
Motion Text: That the Parliament commends the work of Seagull Trust Cruises, which has been providing free cruises on Scotland's canals for people with special needs on its specially equipped boats since 1978 nationally, and since 1983 at its Kirkintilloch branch; notes that the charity is run entirely by volunteers who use their free time to run and maintain the boats; recognises that Seagull Trust Cruises relies entirely on donations and funds raised from souvenir sales to continue providing this wonderfully unique experience, and recognises the success of the charity in hosting over 27,000 passengers since its establishment, with 2,823passengers enjoying a trip on Scotland's canals in 2016.
